Pony Children and Tramadol

Day 32 Walking
Hay on Wye to Llanthony Priory
13 miles
6.5 hours

In the window of an antique store.

Wild Ponies and their Children.

Look KIM what I found - pistachios!!

Hatterrall Ridge.  Stiff climb up but get strong.

Music festival down below where all the campers are. The pulse of the music was felt and heard on top of the mountain.

Tie dyed wool.

Return to the tundra.

Tramadol day.  Amazing what a little pill can do.

Met a "twenty something" lady who started a month ago at Lands End and was hiking through to John O Groths.  She was wild camping, with the wild ponies.

This morning Ann took the photo of Mark, Colette and myself photo (Ann is not a photographer) and asked us when we were meeting again. In unison we three said "somewhere in 2 years", and laughed.

A few day trippers but also there were a number heading north to Prestatin

Thought there was a sign post ahead as it seemed like the white acorn symbol was visible. Turned out to be a Horse with white patch on its face walking slowly straight down the path.

Partly sunny, partly cloudy, but a perfect day for a ridge walk.

Sometimes it seems like the sheep are watching as to how I opened the gate. They must think the grass is greener on the other side. Usually it is because they haven't been chewing and Covering it with mushy black droppings.

Reminds me of my dad watching me enter the security code for his locked up residence after his mind was not functioning as it formerly had.  But enough to know that the correct sequence of numbers was needed to escape.

One of "Offa's most lasting achievements was a reform of the coinage which included the introduction of the English penny".

Complications with the ride collection from Llanthony.  Karen my host had to drive about 20 minutes to collect me.  I was waiting where the info sheet said I should be.  She was waiting in a slightly different area. Both of us for over an hour.  Lois became chilled.  Karen's attitude was definitely "chilly" towards Lois.  Lois felt bad, but it wasn't her fault.  Lois had to do a lot of "peace negotiations".  Relationship improved.

Chili with fluffy white rice.
